[ Known problems in T.A.N.K.S version 1.1 ]


* On some Java platforms there might be a problem with the network
  connection dialog box - it sometimes refuses to close. We can't find any
  reason for this in our code - it's most likely an AWT-related bug.


* If your Java virtual machine doesn't support the sun.audio package, sound
  won't work. This will probably be the case with JDK 1.3.


* Problems with Microsoft's Java virtual machine:

  - Sometimes it isn't possible to spawn a tank (i.e. start playing). Most
  likely an AWT bug. Go back to the settings window and try again.

  - The scoreboard is sometimes not properly drawn. A work-around is to
  open the "About" dialog box, move it over the scoreboard and then close
  it. AWT will then redraw the scoreboard.

  - In old versions of the virtual machine, a grey field can appear in the
  top of the gameboard. Obviously some weird AWT drawing problem. Download
  a newer version of the Java virtual machine from Microsoft's website.
